Acoustic Trio

Post  MattBass6 on Tue Apr 12, 2011 6:02 am

Hi gang. Just a quick one as we're trying to find out who would be interested in seeing Rach, Tony & Matt go out as a trio for a run of gigs over the coming months? We will be looking for small, intimate gigs so, if you know of somewhere that holds between 30 & 50 people and you would like to see the 3 of us there, just let us know where and who to contact and we'll make sure we look into it. Thanks everyone xx cat

Count me in if you're playing anywhere in or around London.

The Half-Moon in Putney is always a good place and another brilliant place for a gig is Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes. BBL is a bowling alley/american diner/kareoke cocktail bar in the basement of the Tavistock hotel by Euston station.

They regularly put bands on in the main club and they also have a seperate room called the Kingpin suite which would be perfect for an accoustic gig for around 40 people. The KP suite is completely self contained and also has 5 bowling lanes and its own bar drunken.

Will try and have a think about other possible venues.

The New Hibernian in Maesteg, there are a lot of bands and great musicians in the Maesteg area and with some publicity and word of mouth a good crowd would easily turn up.

I've got a cracking venue in mind & might even pop in there for a beer this aft 'cos they're hosting an outdoor music festival today. This is the place the Portly Piggle & myself originally had in mind for the previous acoustic tour, but as I understand weren't so hot at getting back in touch. I also put Martin Jakubski in touch with them re;Stillmarillion gigs and they didn't respond to him, so let me know if your at all interested Matt.
Real ale pub and great music venue I.M.O.

Well I did call in that afternoon, but they were hosting a mini-festival with lots of unsigned bands playing, so I didn't get round to mentioning anything 'cos their staff were far too busy. Leave it with me for a couple of week's & I'll try & sound them out sometime.
