borderline

Any solo travellers going too borderline in july,are we going too meet up for the odd beverage or two,or four ,or more?

I hope to be gong, but may be pushed on time, as will be travelling down from Stockport, hope to be in London 5pm ish, but not certain yet...

I am travelling down from Leeds on megabus,should arrive at Victoria 5pm ish.

I've already booked my tickets for the Borderline and work in Victoria so am more than happy to meet up for some liquid refreshment prior to the nights festivities.

Definitely up for the odd glass of ale or two after the gig as my coach home is not until 8.30am.Not going to High Voltage,anyone i would like too see i have rcently!

Have booked my megabus and am due at Victoria coach station at 5pm if anyone wants too meet up pre gig let me know,always pleased too meet fellow fans.

Will be in London 5.45ish, so at hotel just gone 6, pub a few mins later!!

Let me know which pub and i will meet up if you like(originally from Altrincham,makes us almost neighbours,do you remember Gordons Records in Stockport,i used too be the manager?).

My hotel is about 5 mins walk from the venue, so somewhere nearby for drinks. I was thinking the pub that the band did the Dark Angel album launch party in, but can't remember the name of it (probably something to do with to the copious amount of beer supped that night...!!)

As for Gordon's Records, the name rings a bell, but I can't place whereabouts in Stockport it was at the moment. I'll ask a couple of mates to see if they can help me out....

The best place is probably the huge Weatherspoons pub about 150 yards down Charing Cross Road from the Borderline. It's called the Montague Pyke and is on the site of an old cinema, it was also the second home of the Marquee Club after they moved from Wardour Street (Dream Theater's first live albulm was recorded there). It's got two bars, guest beers, lots of cider and loads of seating.

Sounds like the ideal place(it sells alcohol),will make my way there from Victoria as soon as my coach lands,look forward too meeting other fans there.

Just rejuvenating this, and checking, are folks still meeting up on Friday?

I'm going to aim to the Montague Pike, as suggested, and will be arranging to meet some friends there anyway, so please do come and join me for a drink. I'm hard to miss, btw, being only 5 foot tall, you'll find me by looking for the gap in all the tall people!!

I'm still coming but my girlfriend can no longer make it so I have a spare, not looking to make any money, just to get my money back.
