Guitar Tuner
A quick simple question, can you guys recommend a bass/guitar tuner please. Nothing too dear I have a budget of £30. Is the Yamaha YT-150 any good?

Hello mate. There are so many tuners out there and you won't need to spend that. I use super accurate, rack / stage tuners in my rig and in my studio but when I am restringing I carry a Boss TU80. It is an awesome little tuner for backstage or around the house and portable. They cost £19.00 and you can get one here -

Honestly, a great little buy and it even handles my 6 string basses plus it has a built in metronome too.
Another option is the Korg GT4 compact strobe tuner and that's really cool too and all for £22.50 -

If you want a floor tuner then you will have to pay a little extra but if you do want one, go for -

I Have one of these for when we gig abroad and can't take my full gigging rig. I swear by them and it only costs £55.00. The best floor pedal after a Peterson Strobo Stomp II pedal but they cost around £150.00.
Let me know how it goes

Cheers Matt as always a true gent, it looks like I will go for the TU80. You may remember I asked you about a bass and amp back on the old forum, well as an update I have just started jamming covers with a mate and hope to start giggng in pubs soon, the set list so far is Let's Go by Vardis, Iron Fist by Motorhead, Is Vic There by Department S, Prime Mover by Zodiac Mindwarp, Orgon Accumulator by Hawkwind and Emergency by Girlschool, more will be added as we go along.
Diolch yn fawr iawn.
