hi Graeme/Matt,finally re-registered with the new forum hope you are well,looking forward to the new album someday soon.Anyway been listening to mostly the Pineapple Thief's back catalogue in anticipation of next weeks gig at the Classic Grand in Jamaica Street,Glasgow -nice wee venue,you guys might want to check it out for the next tour-better than the Cathouse (no curfew) and the ABC 2-which has a problem ,sound issue-wise if a band is playing in the other hall on the same night (Panic Room vs Gong sept 9th last year) anyway looking forward to a return visit from TR in Glasgow soon. Just about to start a really mind numbing bout of monitoring/logging of completed work tasks on a project we're just finishing so have slapped in Maiden's epic Powerslave to keep me awake.

I'm mainly having a Whitesnake day today. Starting with the classic Come An' Get It

Within Temptation's astounding new album 'The Unforgiving', interpresed with Queensryche's covers album, Heather Findlay's debut solo EP and and a demo from a new UK power metal band, Neverworld.

Just settling down and listening to Pendragons latest offering 'Passion'. About halfway through at the moment and it's sounding good, a natural progression from the excellent 'Pure'. I recommend already.

Welcome to my DNA by Blackfield. Getting ready for their gig on Friday at Shepherds Bush with The Pineapple Thief supporting.

Blackfield's first two albums blew me away, so I'm not surprised this latest offering is also superb.

I'm currently listening to (and watching) 'That Night in Leamington' the excellent final live show from Heather Findlay before she left Mostly Autumn. Not a dry eye in the house by the end.

Dropshard - Anywhere But Home. Italian prog-metal band I saw at Electric Garden and who, I have to admit, didn't do much for me on the day. The cd was a freebie for ticket holders, and the music makes a lot more sense on disc. Will give them naother try.

Another freebie on the day was a CD by a Mongolian (?) prog band called Wappa Gappa. I have since bought another album of theirs and think they're quite splendid. Trying to find out how to buy their first album now!!!
